WHY DEVCON PARTNERS IS RIGHT FOR YOU: I love our organization’s startup energy, 100%-remote work environment and trumpeting The DevCon Difference across social media and the web.

FUN FACT: The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame asked to borrow part of my LP-record collection (’60s rock soundtracks) for an onsite display after seeing my article, Psychedelic Psoundtracks, in Goldmine magazine.

PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS: As a public-relations consultant to the National Reye’s Syndrome Foundation, I helped convince Pepto-Bismol to cease an ad campaign promoting a product that might trigger the deadly disease, Reye’s Syndrome. I also worked on an initiative that pushed Bayer to halt using the dangerous term “baby aspirin” in favor of “low-dose aspirin”—a move projected to save countless young lives.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE: “What is the sound of one hand clapping?”

WHAT WOULD YOU RATHER DO? READ A BOOK, ASSEMBLE A PUZZLE, WATCH A MOVIE OR MAKE A MEAL? Read a book in one hand while stirring the tomato sauce (aka “gravy”) in the other.

FAVORITE COLOR:  Is paisley a color? No? OK. Then it’s purple. Deep purple.

CHARITIES OF CHOICE: As an ESL & remedial English tutor with Literacy DuPage, I’ve helped individuals obtain U.S. citizenship or advance their employment situations. I’ve battled hunger while volunteering as a meal packer for Feed My Starving Children.

HOME: I’m a Connecticut Yankee transplanted to Chicago.

FAMILY: Wife, Teresa & our canine companion, AJ (a rare Albanian mountain hound, which is a breed the American Kennel Club hasn’t yet recognized).

GOALS: I’m always seeking to improve, whether professionally or as a brief occupant of this planet. I’d also like to learn to speak Italian and play piano.
